The upgrade was successful, but I can&#8217;t find wifi adapter anymore, cannot connect to internet. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fix: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect to Ethernet or USB Wifi adapter to establish internet connection.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B07RN44SHW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title\">https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B07RN44SHW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your Terminal. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><code>lspci | grep -i network<\/code>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>this will show what wifi adapter you have on you computer. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>e.g. my laptop shows &#8220;02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4352 802.11ac Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03)&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Google what&#8217;s the Ubuntu driver for your adapter. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"199\" class=\"wp-image-599\" style=\"width: 500px;\" src=\"https:\/\/yingzhangdong.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-From-2026-10-18-18-43-25.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yingzhangdong.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-From-2026-10-18-18-43-25.png 843w, https:\/\/yingzhangdong.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-From-2026-10-18-18-43-25-300x119.png 300w, https:\/\/yingzhangdong.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-From-2026-10-18-18-43-25-768x305.png 768w, https:\/\/yingzhangdong.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Screenshot-From-2026-10-18-18-43-25-1x1.png 1w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then I tried <mark style=\"background-color:#f7dc0b\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><code>sudo apt install bcmwl-kernel-source<\/code>.<\/mark> Ubuntu tells me it can&#8217;t locate this package. further research shows this is outdated and replaced by sta package.
